From the Signaraux car park, La Motte d'Aveillans, hike in the meadows of Matheysine (populated with cattle in summer). Enjoy a beautiful view of the 3 lakes of Laffrey, Petichet and Pierre-Châtel and the surrounding mountains.
The start of this hike is from the parking lot of the small Signaraux ski resort. Join a wide path below the ski lifts then take the direction of the discovery trail.
The woods give way to mountain pastures. When crossing these places, follow the driving instructions to be followed.
At the "Clarafin" sign, leave the discovery trail on the right to follow the "Pierre Plantée" route. From the “Gran Lau” reach the “Pierre Plantée” and its magnificent panorama.
Retrace your steps to continue the loop towards the “Treize Bises”. Then follow the track to reach the sign for “Combe Noire”, then "L'Arboretum" and "La Filas". Finally join the Signaraux to find the car park.
Good to know : The mandements (administrative and religious units) were sometimes delimited by erected cut stones. This Pierre Plantée is one of them, marking the end of a quarrel between the people of La Motte d'Aveillans and those of La Mure. It is still today the limit between the two municipalities.
