After the tough warm-up of the climb of Parquetout, the rest takes place generally downhill through the sunny pastures of Beaumont. An infinitely confusing loop offering splendid panoramas.
Learn moreFrom Valbonnais, first follow the D526 road towards Entraigues, then after the Fayettes bridge, turn right onto the D212f towards Les Angelas/Col de Parquetout. From there, a steep climb awaits you, with an average slope of more than 10%, to the top of the pass! Then, while remaining on the D212f, the route descends pleasantly into the Saint-Michel mountain pastures, facing due south. In the hamlet of Villelonge, take the direction of Saint-Michel-en-Beaumont, then La Salle-en-Beaumont, always staying on the D212. At Salle en-Beaumont, you will cross the Route Napoléon (N85) to reach Saint-Pierre-de-Méaroz before gradually going up towards the Route Napoléon, still via the D212. When you arrive for the second time on the Route Napoléon (N 85), cross it towards Les Miards/Valbonnais (D26a). You will join the D526 at the Bonne viaduct, which you will then take until you return to your starting point.
