The sources of Les Gillardes

In the forest of Pellafol, at the bottom of steep chalky cliffs overlooking the Devoluy, fresh and clear water springs from the rock: the sources of Les Gillardes, 2nd resurgence of France after Fontaine de Vaucluse. These resurgences are a geological mystery and have an important flow, in summer as much as in winter. They are the source of La Souloise, a river which flows in the lake of Le Sautet.

This magical and soothing place is an excellent spot to revitalize yourself, to walk or to have a picnic with family.

Several easy hikes begin from The Gillardes. You can discover 2 family tours devoted to environment with detailed signs. It’s also possible to see the hoodoos, by taking the path of "Le Vieux Pellafol".

Waterfalls of La Pisse and Confolens

Situated at the heart of the National park of Les Ecrins, the waterfalls of La Pisse and Confolens are very impressive from their 80m high.

You can admire the waterfall of La Pisse during a family hike, in the high valley of La Bonne, from Le Désert-en-Valjouffrey.

The waterfall of Confolens is accessible on foot or by car by the narrow forest road from Le Périer. There, you will see the waterfall flowing from the rock and dropping 75m down into other mountain streams, in a beautiful place. Possibility to go to Confolens, and to the shelter of La selle from this place.
